Our History
Global Design Collective is a non-profit organization founded by Mikaela Fraser, Khadijah Green, and Toni
Sterling. We have 16 years of experienced
combined between Mikaela, Khadijah, and
Toni in the industry, so we have experienced
the lack of Diversity, education, and
community building to support. Since its
inception, Global Design Collective has been
driven by a mission to empower
underrepresented voices within the design
industry. Our founders, each with a unique
perspective and wealth of expertise, have
created a platform that not only educates
but also inspires and connects individuals
from diverse backgrounds.

We at Global Design Collective is compiled of industry professionals and educators of color; combining our professional expertise, passion for education, and desire to empower aspiring entertainment artists. We realized the most effective way to diversify the creative side of live entertainment is for minorities to reach out to other minorities and serve a wider age range of students. Empowering high school, college students, and young professionals with the knowledge needed to be successful in this industry. We envision a future where access to entertainment technology and opportunities in this industry is democratized and all can thrive.
